Professor Shannon Vallor appointed to Oversight Board of the Ada Lovelace Institute

The Nuffield Foundation has appointed three new members to the Oversight Board of the Ada Lovelace Institute, founded in 2018 with a mission to make data and AI work for people and society.

Director of the Centre for Technomoral Futures, Professor Shannon Vallor, has been appointed alongside Ali Shah, Global Principal Director for Responsible AI at Accenture and Shakir Mohamed, Director for Research at Google DeepMind.

The Oversight Board is responsible for the long-term sustainability of the Ada Lovelace Institute as well as leading the Institute’s strategic development.

Professor Vallor and her fellow appointees will bring their diverse and cross-disciplinary expertise and perspectives to the Institute, complementing existing Oversight Board members Chris Todd, John Thornhill, Alix Dunn, Rocio Concha Galguera and Francine Bennett.
